What to wear for Pole Dancing Classes and Hen Parties.

Remember that you have to be able to move freely in what ever you wear but must also offer support and coverage for when you are stretching and going upside down.

Pole Parties

For pole parties it is fun to dress up and to pick a theme for your party. The same requirements apply as bellow, however shoes, high heels and accessories can be worn for photos. I would advise to wear stockings instead of tights, as stockings are easily removed for the pole session. So be creative and dress up to the max, just keep in mind that you will need to remove some items before getting onto the poles!!

Pole Dancing Classes

At Leicester Studios we have wooden flooring, so we dance in socks or bare feet. Some of the girls wear soft soled jazz shoes, but these are not a requirement. No high heels ladies!!

Bare feet

The classes are all structured to start with a warm up and to finish with a cool down. I recommend that you wear tracksuit bottoms or leggings and a long sleeved top for the warm up and cool down.

Tracksuit

While working on the poles, the more skin you have on show, the better grip you will get on the pole. Short shorts are a must, especially for the intermediate and advanced girls. Sports bras are always good for support and comfort and I would recommend a sleeveless top or vest.

Shorts

No rings are allowed on the poles, if you wear rings that cannot be removed, please tape them up so they do not scratch the poles. Wrists must be free of bracelets and watches. It is best not to wear any jewelry at all.

No Jewelry

Any body oils, lotions and creams will transfer onto the poles, causing poor grip, this will affect not only you, but other class mates that you may be sharing a pole with. Please don't put on moisturizes before you come to a lesson.

No Body Oils or Creams
